The 3 day detox diet
DAY 1
Breakfast
Lemon, ginger, or tulsi tea, or use the shiitake mushroom tea (see Recipe section)
A bowl of miso soup (clear made with vegetable stock) and any three vegetables of your choice. If you don't have miso, then any vegetables soup
Lunch
Pressed salad tossed with green apples (if available) and made with at least three vegetables
Mid-afternoon to evening snack
Any fruit (one small bowl)
Dinner
Soup (with miso)
Boiled vegetables
DAY 2
Breakfast
Lemon, ginger, or tulsi tea, or use the shiitake mushroom tea; round vegetable soup with miso
Lunch
Boiled salad (any three vegetables, for example, cauliflower, green beans, and carrots) tossed with sauerkraut.
Mid-afternoon to evening snack
Any fruit (one small bowl)
Dinner
Soup (with miso)
Steamed vegetables
Side order of pressed salad
DAY 3
Breakfast
Lemon, ginger, or tulsi tea, or use the shiitake mushroom tea
Bowl of millet poha with vegetables
Lunch
Stir fry vegetables in ½ tsp of oil with a side order of pressed salad
Mid-afternoon to evening snack
Any fruit (one small bowl)
Dinner
Soup ( with miso )
Boiled vegetable salad
Yellow moong dal ( no tempering ) with salt and pepper
